The Milwaukee Baseball League has received permission from Milwaukee County to hire a contractor to repair the Zirkel Field infield this April.  We need to raise $3000 to get the project done.  We have one month to do it and are only half way to our goal. 

Badger Poker will be running a No Limit Hold'em Poker Tournament to help us raise funds for our field project.  The buy-in donation is $20.  50% of the money will stay in the prize pool, 50% will be donated to the field project.  There will be prizes from Miller as well as, Long Wongs bar tabs for people making the final table.  There will also be Brewer Ticket Discount coupons raffled off just for playing.

If the Milwaukee Baseball League gets at least 50 players, friends and family to play in the tournament, then both Badger Poker and Wisquote Insurance Services, LLC will match $500 to the Zirkel Field repair project.  So, for coming out and having a good time, we can raise at least $1500 towards the field repair project which will get us to our goal.

The tournament will be held Sunday, April 18 at 5pm sharp at Long Wongs on 53rd and Bluemound in Milwaukee.  Be there, or don't dare complain about a bad hop this year.

We will have a PDF schedule for 2010.  Following are the preliminary Division Alignments.  There will be one partial round of interdivision play between the American and National divisions, generally played on Friday nights, however, teams can request to play on the other division's primary day if they prefer, i.e. an American Division team can request to play against National Division teams on Sundays instead of Fridays if they like, and we will accomodate if there are no objections from the other team in a match-up or field limitations.

American Division:  Primary game day is Saturday late afternoon & early evening, secondary game day is Friday night.  Division specifically designed for teams that have multiple Land of Lakes players looking for more playing time.

Veterans Division: Primary game day is Sunday, secondary day is Friday night.  Teams may elect an expanded schedule to include mid-week games.  This is an over 25 division.  We are seeking one to three more teams for this division, perhaps a group of local players from teams in another league who would like to play together at this level.
