We got the scheduling and field fee information for 2010. As anticipated a few years ago, we finally are seeing the "one off" price movement in field prices. Schedule is up.
American and National teams will play a base schedule of 15 games, comprised of all games in your division played on your primary day and Fridays. In this case, playoffs would be played across divsion with the 1-4 in the American playing the 4-1 in the National in the first round of the playoffs. Playoffs in mid-August. Team fee for 2010 will be $1900. Veterans Division teams will have a base schedule of 20 games all played within their division regardless of whether we have 5 teams or 6 teams. Playoffs in September. Games will be Sundays and Fridays, with a handful of weeknight games for teams that play in the additional games pool (see next paragraph). Team Fee for 2010 will be $2400. Here's what Jim and I need to know ASAP (because we have to submit the permit and pay the county soon). Would your team like to play in a Friday pool of additional games? Please reply yes or no to this question ASAP. If so, your team would play 3 to 5 additional games (depending on how many teams are in the pool). For this year all teams are eligible for this pool, regardless of division. Cost per additional game is $100 per team so factor that into your budget. 2010 MBL Cost Analysis: Per game cost: Field= 37.50 (2.5 hours x $15/hr) Umps= 120 (2 umps x $60/game) Balls= 17.50 (4 baseballs) Scorekeeper= 25 Sub Total= 200/game Per team share= 100/game Fixed Costs: League Permit w/ Milwaukee County= 450 Trophies= 400 Banquet= 250 Field Supplies and L Screen for Zirkel= 500 Insurance= 750 Playoffs= 2480 (10 games total, 4 games with extra umps) Cushion= 1170
