  2. The Commissioner and President as elected by the Board will handle day to day duties of the league.  The Vice President as elected by the Board will handle special projects and assist the Commissioner and President when necessary.
  3. The Commissioner and President will split the general administrative duties of the league as they see fit, or if necessary with input and possible vote by the Board.  A Treasurer/vice President and a Secratary/Vice-President may be selected as needed or as people become available to fill those roles.
  4. The Board shall have two types of votes:
    • Simple Majority, with quorum of three quarters of the Board members voting, to set various league policies, and procedures, as well as, to elect the Commissioner, President and Vice President.
    • Two-thirds of all of the Board members to change game rules and league By-laws.
  5. All positions involved with administering the league are volunteer positions.

Financial By-laws:

  1. The MBL in setting it's annual budget shall use extreme discretion in spending money on both essential and non-essential items.
  2. 3. The league will maintain a bank balance / slush fund equal to approximately 10% to 20% the size of the annual budget, and will consider this when setting annual team fees.  For example, if the annual budget is $30,000, the league will attempt to maintain a $3,000 to $6,000 cushion against unexpected costs and future inflation.
  4. Fundraising of two types generally occur:
    • Fundraising by the league- in which all monies are only to be used to fund the slush fund / bank balance or special projects, and are not to be used for annual operating expenses.
    • Fundraising by teams- in which all money raised by a team will be applied to their league fees.
  5. Forfeit fees for games.  A team forfeiting a game due to lack of players will be assessed a $100 fee.  This fee must be paid within 17 days of the forfeit to the MBL.  If a team suffers an injury or multiple injuries during a game and forfeits they will not be assessed the fee.
  6. Teams should charge their players a minimum of $50 to play for the season in order to establish a level of commitment/good faith, and at least cover uniform costs.

Leff's Lucky Town Americans 10 Town and Lake Realty Braves 4
In game one of a doubleheader that Leff's needed to sweep to get back into the playoff race, Jared Catenacci, John Kuhn and Alex Rejniak got Leff's on the board early with 2 runs in the first inning. Catenacci was hit with the first pitch and John Kuhn followed with a single. Rejniak with two outs then hit a single scoring both runners after John Kuhn's steal. The Braves got one in their half of the first, but that would be their last meaningful challenge as Leff's defense made the key plays, led by Steve Gustafason in centerfield and Aaron Bielawski at second base.  Leff's added two runs in the second and three in the third as Rob Tschimperle, Jeremy Kroll and Jarrett Gates all contributed hits.  In the sixth, Mike Schroeder helped his pitching cause with his second homer of the season, an exclamation point 380 foot home run which drove in John Kuhn after Kuhn's 3rd hit of the day, a double to the wall.

Schroeder worked a game plan to perfection controlling the game on his way to the victory, while dealing with symptoms of the heat which caused him to be sick and need ice packs.  Rejniak pitched a final scoreless inning.  Catenacci went 2-4, 4r, bi; John Kuhn 4-4, 3r, 2bi and Rejniak 3-4, 3bi.  Adam Graves had two hits for the Braves, while three other Braves were ejected.

In the sixth, "Chimp" recorded three of those strikeouts, including of a Braves pinch hitter.  Alex Rejniak pitched a scoreless final inning getting the save, with two strikeouts including striking out the final hitter on a nasty breaking ball.  Jared Catenacci had two hits and a run scored for Leff's.  Rejniak had the game winning RBI.
