The 2008 PJ's Tigers was an expansion team in 2008 which consisted of two league veterans in Steve & Scott Rappl, with the rest of the team being new players to the MBL.  PJ's Tigers finished their inaugeral season with a 15-7 overall record and on a 7 game winning streak getting hot at the right time. PJ's Tigers took home the 2008 MBL Championship beating Johnny V's 10-4. 

This was a great team who regularly could be found on the practice field or in batting cages on their way to the 2008 MBL Championship. Team Members for the 2008 PJ's Tigers include: Andy Monigal, Cory McEwen, Eric Cluppert, Jason Maaske, Scott Rappl, Manager/Player Steve Rappl, Vic Helin, Matt Duranso, Ricky Pease, Kevin Tapper, Joe Gottardo, Corey Sumner, Nick Lagermaier & Steven DaPonte.
 
The players on PJ's Tigers from 2008 who were All-League members include the following: Andy Monigal, Cory McEwen, Jason Maaske, Scott Rappl, and Manager/Player Steve Rappl.  Andy Monigal a 2006 Ripon College Baseball team graduate was co-league MVP for the 2008 season in which he was the league leader in Total Hits, Total Runs and Stolen Base. Andy also was a "Ironman" on the pitching mound mowing down batters earning a 7-1 overall record. He was also 2nd in the league in Strikeouts & overall record. In the playoffs Andy dominated by pitching 24.0 Innings & earning 30 strikeouts while only giving up 12 earned runs with a 3-0 record and earning 1 save. Also helping in the playoffs by getting red hot was 2005 Ripon College Baseball team graduate Eric Cluppert who had 8 RBIs and 2 Home Runs and batted over .700 in the 4 playoff games for PJ's Tigers. Eric also was an important part of the championship run as Eric batted .308 with 13 RBI's in the regular season and 8 more in the playoffs. Eric was 2nd in the league in Total Runs and Total Base on Balls. Ricky Pease who was a standout at Taylor County College a 2006 graduate who was the all-time career hits leader finished the 2008 season with a perfect 6-0 pitching record overall on the 2008 season. Ricky batted .346 with 10 RBI's, 11 Runs Scored, 4 Stolen Bases but was on fire in the playoffs batting over .500 with 1 Home Run & 6 RBI's. Also helping out was another 2005 Ripon College Baseball team graduate Cory McEwen who was the League Leader in Doubles with 11, RBI's with 31, Total Bases with 48, At Bats with 80 & Hits with 31. These stats include the playoffs. Cory's other stats were he batted: .387 going (31-80) overall with 2 Home Runs, 23 Runs scored, 2 triples & a slugging percentage of .615. Cory was 2008 MBL All League Member.
 
Other peole who were very important for the success of the 2008 PJ's Tigers were All-League Members Steve and Scott Rappl. Steve batted .407 going (22-54) overall with 8 doubles, 17 runs scored and 14 RBI's on the season. Scott batted .418 going (23-55) overall with 9 doubles, 17 RBI's and 15 runs scored. Jason Maaske was also was a vital part of PJ's Tigers success batted .429 going (21-49) overall with 8 doubles, 10 RBI's and 23 runs scored. Other team members who help lead the way for PJ's Tigers was Vic Helin who batted .333 going (8-24) overall with 4 RBI's and 1 double and a very high OBP of: .484. Matt Duranso also was a steady part of the Tigers championship run batting .323 going (21-65) with with 15 runs scored, 2 doubles, 2 stolen bases and 14 RBI's. Corey Sumner a 2004 Thomas University Baseball team graduate played excellent as he batted .357 with 6 RBI's, 9 runs scored and 1 double. Also playing through injury was Kevin Tapper who was 1-0 pitching going 4.33 Innings while striking out 7 batters and giving up only 2 earned runs. Kevin also batted .400 going (10-25) overall with 9 RBI's and 4 runs scored.
 
In 2009 PJ's Tigers will look to continue their 7 game winning streak. New members of PJ's Tigers might be only a few more Pitchers to add to the rotation who have high school or college pitching experience.  Also for this year PJ's will be adding utility player Justin Gelhausen who played on the Leffs MBL team and batted .462 going (18-39) overall with 14 RBI's, 3 doubles, 1 triple and 9 runs scored during the 2008 season.
