Steakout Black Sox 12 St. Francis A's 6
Jeff Michor stole the show in game 1 going 3 for 4 with 2 Home Runs and 7 RBI. St. Francis had an early 2-0 lead going into the bottom of the 3rd inning when the Steakout bats came to life. After 2 walks and a RBI single by Dwight Williamson, Michor stepped to the plate and drove the ball over the right field fence within 5 feet of the pine tree. (He would 2 putt but that's here nor there). Michor used a loft wedge in the 6th, landing short of the green but tallying his 2nd 3 run Home Run of the day. Williamson showed some of his 2007 form going 2 for 4 with a double and 3 runs scored. Josh Weinhandl picked up the win in his first start from the mound.
 
St. Francis A’s 7 Steakout Black Sox 5
The expansion St. Francis A’s got their first win of the season and first win in the MBL with a 7-5 victory over the Steakout to split a doubleheader. The Steakout got out to an early lead scoring 1 run in the top of the 1st inning. The A’s responded in the 2nd inning scoring 5 runs highlighted by Randy Anderson's 2 run homerun and Mike Jelacic doing his best “Benny The Jet Rodriguez” impersonation by stealing home. The A’s scored 2 more runs in the next 4 innings to hold off The Steakout's comeback. Leading the way offensively for the St. Francis A's were Randy Anderson who was 2 for 4 with 1 Home Run, 2 RBI & 1 Run, Mike Jelacic was 2 for 2, 1 Run, 1 BB, 1 HBP, Matt Cook was 2 for 3, 1 Run, 1 BB, and Ernie Zuberbuehler was 1 for 3, with 1 double, 1 BB. Shawn Kozey earned the win pitching all 7 innings while only giving up 3 Earned Runs, 7 Hits, 3 K’s & 5 BB. Shawn also pitched a complete game to earn his first victory of the season. 
 

South Shore All-Stars 1 Supreme Builders 0
Tony Landgraf pitched a great game getting out of a few jams on his way to a complete game shutout. Greg Ziedonis double & scored the only run of the game off of Supreme Builders pitcher Ryan Diaz. This was fundamental sound defensive battle for both teams.

Supreme Builders 11 South Shore All-Stars 0
The Builder's frustrated bats woke up in game 2 of the double header in an inning shortened game. They tacked on 2 runs in the first, one run in the second, and six runs in the third to put the game out of reach. Chris Moser, Tommy Rapp, Chad Olson, and Sean Carolan fueled the Builders offense as they all had a multi hit game. Brendon Dorn earned the win allowing only 1 hit over four innings of work. Brian Rennicke came in and pitched the final inning to end the game. South Shore All-Star's Bryon Mueller had the team's sole hit of the game going 1 for 2.

Leff's Lucky Town 9 Brew City Indians 8
The Indians took the early lead with timely hitting and capitalizing on a few breaks. Leading 7-2 going into the top of the seventh, Leff's pinch hitter Brian Jaeger led off with a solid single to left field to ignite what would become a game tying rally. Starting pitcher Rob Tschimperle's double drove in two runs to tie the game and get reliever Mike Schroeder to the bottom of the seventh where he retired the side in order. In Leff's 8th inning Jared Catenacci hit a one out triple. After a walk, fielders choice and an intential walk, Matt Huffaker it a line drive down the left field line for a double scoring two runs to give Leff's its first lead. Schroeder then shut the door for the win.

O'Brien's/Milwaukee Harley Davidson 4 Club Paragon Phillies 2
Dan Wilfrath scattered 5 hits while striking out 10 plus only walking one. Dan pitched a complete game to get the win. Chris Sanders had two hits and two RBI including a triple to lead the offense with Chris Vogt and Tim Heling adding two hits apiece off of Phillies starter Ryan Roufus who pitched well striking out 9 in five innings of work but gave up four runs with two runs being earned to pick-up the loss. 
  
Town & Lake Realty/Greco's Braves 5 PJ's Tigers 4
The Braves jumped out to an early 1-0 lead. They held that lead until the Tigers came back with 4 runs of their own in the top of the 3rd. Lead by Josh Szuslik\'s continued hot bat, the Braves came back with 1 run in the 5th inning and 3 more in the bottom of the sixth. Adam Graves lead off the inning with a triple, then a hit batter and a walk loaded the bases for Szuslik who blooped one down the right field line to score 2 thanks the the hustle from Bill Gorman and the aggressiveness from the manager to send him. This tied the game until Preston Wietholter drew a walk in the same inning to force in the go ahead run. George James pitched great the first 5 innings for the Braves and Nick Voltner came into the game trailing by 3, held the score there until the Braves were able to get the bats going. PJ's had more hits in this game that the Braves. This ended the 8 game winning streak by the Tigers which had been going on since last year in July. Leading hitters for PJ's were Andy Monigal who was 1 for 3 with 4 stolen bases in the game, Jason Maaske who was 1 for 3 with 2 RBI & Cory McEwen who was 1 for 3 with 1 RBI, along with Vic Helin who was 2 for 3 with 1 RBI as well. Starting pitcher for PJ's Tigers was Kevin Tapper who pitched 4 strong innings while only giving up 3 hits & 1 unearned run while striking out 4 batters.
 
Johnny V's 7 Greenfield Bulldawgs 2
Johnny V’s beat the Greenfield Bulldawgs 7-2 at Wick Park . Mike Gramarossa got the win by pitching 5 scoreless innings while scattering 5 hits and striking out four. V’s had 4 runs in the 2nd inning sparked by an RBI triple by Lee Klescszynski and a 2-run double by Dan Marx. V’s took a shut-out into the 7th inning but the Bulldawgs fought back by scoring 2 runs and loading the bases. Johnny V’s Steve Murphy came in and picked up the save by getting the last 2 outs with the tying run in the on-deck circle. Dan Marx led Johnny V’s with 2 hits and Reckawtiz led the Bulldawgs with 2 hits also.
